The Bodyboarding Victoria Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday, 28th June at 4:00 PM at URBNSURF Melbourne. It was a well-attended gathering, filled with productive discussion, reflection, and well-deserved recognition.
A highlight of the meeting was the acknowledgement of several key contributors not just to the club, but to the broader Victorian and Australian bodyboarding community. Among those recognised were outgoing President Chris Watson, Treasurer Mark Brocas-Reti, and long-serving committee member and former Vice President Benny Oborne. Their dedication and passion over many years have shaped the club’s direction and left a lasting impact on the sport in our state. While they are stepping down from formal committee roles, we’re grateful they will continue to be active members of the BBV family. Thank you, gentlemen, for everything.
The AGM also marked the election of a new committee, ushering in a fresh chapter for Bodyboarding Victoria:
President: Adam Williams
Treasurer: Ben Lee Kong
Secretary: Corey Daglish
Vice Presidents: Ryan Jucker & Jacques Le'Roux (shared role)
General Committee Members: Lyndall Jucker & Nathan Clark
While this represents a shift in leadership, the incoming team brings a wealth of experience, fresh energy, and strong commitment. We look forward with confidence to the 2025/26 season and beyond. The new committee is dedicated to building on the strong foundations laid by those before them, promoting bodyboarding with integrity, inclusivity, and a spirit of progression both competitively and across the wider community in Victoria and Australia.
Here’s to the next chapter in Bodyboarding Victoria’s journey.
